AI Content Policy

SmartLiveReport may use artificial intelligence and other forms of automation as assistance within its editorial and publishing workflow. This policy explains the principles governing that use.

Permitted editorial assistance

AI-assisted tools may be used for tasks including organising source material, identifying possible topics, drafting support, translation, summarisation, grammar and style assistance, headline suggestions, metadata preparation, formatting, categorisation, transcription, and presentation support.

AI is not treated as a factual source

An AI system may produce incorrect, incomplete, outdated, biased, or invented information. Its output should not be treated as proof that a statement is true. Material facts should be supported by identifiable source information appropriate to the report.

Editorial responsibility

SmartLiveReport remains responsible for content it publishes, regardless of whether AI or automation assisted its preparation. The use of technology does not transfer editorial responsibility to a software provider.

Originality and copyright

AI-assisted drafting should be based on verified facts and should use original expression. SmartLiveReport does not intend to reproduce the protected wording, photographs, illustrations, graphics, or other creative material of another publisher without permission, licence, or another valid legal basis.

Source handling

Publisher content and source material should be handled in accordance with applicable access conditions, intellectual-property rights, privacy requirements, and SmartLiveReport's Source and Attribution Policy.

AI-generated or AI-assisted images

SmartLiveReport may publish images created or materially transformed using generative tools. Where appropriate, such visuals may be labelled AI Generated Image or otherwise identified as illustrative.

An illustrative AI-generated image should not be presented as an authentic photograph of a real event. Reasonable care should be taken to avoid misleading depictions, false endorsements, impersonation, or unnecessary harm to real people.

Sensitive and high-impact subjects

Additional human attention is appropriate for reports involving elections, courts, public safety, communal matters, health, finance, crime, children, death, allegations of misconduct, or other subjects where an error could cause significant harm.

Transparency

SmartLiveReport may disclose AI involvement through page labels, image labels, policy notices, production notes, or other context where disclosure would help readers understand how content was created or presented.

Corrections and complaints

AI-assisted content is subject to the same correction, review, grievance, and takedown processes as other published content. Readers may report a concern by using the Page Review / Compliance Issue option on the relevant article.
